blogging ? hmmmm :-) YES

I really love blogging ! I feel like even though no one reads mine I can express myself and talk about my life and my opinions on things that I would never pay attention to unless Karla assigned it, for instance I didn't know that over 40,000 laws were passed in 2012 ! and now I do because Karla told us :-) I really do like being able to blog for credit for a few reasons ! (1. if you are bored and you have no I.S. to do just go ask Karla for some blogging stuff and make a post ! (2. it's really easy credit ! and I always have something to say since I talk ALL the time so I have lots to write (3. when I'm bored where ever there is a computer I can blog (4. I really like being able to do it because I can practice writing so when the time comes to write a grad doc I will be good at writing and rambling (I'm not sure if rambling is the right word for that though LOL) KARLA what do you mean a theme ? I think you mean you want me to say something like this : I really love summer, traveling, country music, events, pick up trucks, sexy cars, outdoors and my friends so if I could I would write a lot about those types of things, but I would want to keep my ideas open and write about things I enjoy :) I learned : screen shots, how to write a blog, how to make a blog, make blog friends and make my blog page pretty ! and most important of all how to actually blog and write ! PPPFFFFFFFTTT I know I could ! if I had access on the daily I could no problem and probably talk about the business, how it's doing, specials, events and the employees. I feel from blogging I can appropriately express myself and I have learned new things. PLEASE KARLA KEEP BLOGGING IT'S FABUOUS !

New Laws of 2012

About 40,000 state laws taking effect at the start of the new year will change rules about  getting abortions in New Hampshire, learning about gays and lesbians in California, getting jobs in Alabama and even driving golf carts in Georgia.Social Security increase amounting to $450 a year for the average recipients and stiff fines up to $2,700 per offense for truckers and bus drivers caught using hand-held cellphones while driving.
Many laws reflect the nation's concerns over immigration, the cost of government and the best way to protect and benefit young people, including regulations on sports concussions. Eight states will raise the minimum wage. They include Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Colorado, Ohio, Vermont and Florida. San Francisco will become the first city to raise its minimum wage above $10 per hour. The new $10.24 minimum is nearly $3 above the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, set in 2009. Supporters said they wanted to deter illegal immigrants from coming to Georgia by making it tougher for them to work. Critics said that changes to immigration law should come at the federal level and that portions of the law already in effect are already hurting Georgia. "It is destroying Georgia's economy and it is destroying the fabric of our social network in South Georgia," Paul Bridges, mayor of the onion-farming town of Uvalda, said in November. He is part of a lawsuit challenging the new law.

I think some of the laws such as the raising of minimum wage is great for people in Georgia, but this is seriously seriously affecting the business owners and the economy is starting to fallout and I am completely in agreement wit Paul Bridges and I hope he can get that changed. Otherwise all the laws that I have read are a bit ridiculous, over the top, and unnecessary.

St. Croix Valley ALC

I've been going to the ALC now for a while, I believe I transferred over the second semester of my junior year so that would make it over one whole year I have been going to school here. I really do like it and I love how chill it is and how cool the teachers are and since it's smaller I get a lot more individual attention. I think the school is helping me, but it would be better if I was told to do things and have due dates and actually homework from all my teachers so I had more opportunities for hours. I really don't like that school is only three hours long because I need so much more school than just that and I really do not like that I'm not trusted by the staff along with the rest of the kids and I can't even sit in  a classroom waiting for my class to start. This school though really hasn't taught me too much I definitely would be learning more at the SAHS because the teaching style is more appropriate for me, but I screwed myself over and didn't do my work and I got thrown into the ALC, that isn't a bad thing, but of I could do it all over I'd be at the SAHS and I would have done my work. I don't think I have ever pushed myself at the ALC, but I most definitely should. I think if I had someone really pushing me to do work and was constantly assigning me to do things I would do much better because I don't usually do anything until I'm told to do it, I'm not necessarily a self starter.

Mr. Martin Luther King

Justice, love and hope. Racism, poverty and war. The first describes the man, Martin Luther King, Jr. and his goals; the second describes the issues of his time. From November 1955, until his death on 4 April 1968, King was a significant player on the public stage. During these years, we know him principally as a civil rights leader and antiwar activist. However, he was much more. Indeed, now that there is a federal holiday symbolizing what he stood for, what he believed, and the goals he sought, there is the danger of forgetting that he was a man subject to the shortcomings of any man. That his agenda of realizing the Beloved Community, where people are evaluated in terms of the content of their characters rather than the color of their skins, is only partially realized and in real danger of being reversed. Not only has the United States become more conservative and less humane in the years since his death, it is in the process of redefining and repositioning itself in keeping with the demands of a new century. This new positioning, in my opinion, will further distance it from a sensitive and conscious attention to its domestic needs resulting in a more oppressive and less democratic society than was the case before especially now that terrorism is a topic of everyday conversation and the subject of harsher and more stringent policies from the legislative arena. Thus, the focus of this course is directed toward understanding the man, his times and the work he was about altering the balance of power in US society to better realize the founding concepts of “America" Freedom, Liberty, Equality, and Justice and their import for our times before he was brutally assassinated while lending moral support to a garbage collector's strike in Memphis, Tennessee.

worst movie ever. seriously.

YEAR ONE

okay so I'm pretty religious and besides that this movie was ridiculously stupid with no point at all. they were insulting jesus the whole time and making jew jokes. this was all complete religious sattire and i didn't think it was funny and if they were going to make fun of it i would have not pissed me off so bad if the stories were so inaccurate the way that they portrayed it. they pissed all over christianity and i did not appreciate it. Jack Black can do much better than this.

What the critics said
"There's plenty of lowbrow, knuckle-dragging humour; coupled with all the gay jokes, poop jokes, Jewish jokes and you're-stupider-than-I-am jokes."

my 'weekend' break*

I had such a crazy weekend ! so sally, jackie and i drive to the motherland of wisconsin to hang out with sally's long lost friend's. we drove to ellsworth wisconsin and while we were waiting in a parking lot a police officer came up and got all three of ours information. i thought i was going to get arrested because i haven't paid my speeding ticket from early december, i was praying all night and i'm so glad we were okay because sally and jackie were super high ! and geordan found us and we followed him to his house. we left geordan's house so me, sally, jackie, kelly and geoedan himself. we drove 45 minutes to Knapp WI and we were there for a couple hours with a bunch of drunk rednecks who crashed their truck into like twelve tiny trees in his drive way and messed up his truck super bad ! we left Knapp at like 4 am and went back to geordan's. That day we didn't leave until about three and on the way back sally's car broke five miles from geordan's. geordan came to save us and we ran out of gas on the side of the road. kelly's girlfriend came with gas for geordan's cr and we were all in kelly's car while geordan was driving in front of us and we watched him crash into a ditch into a creek !!!!! he was supposed to drive us back to minnesota ! THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. we were stranded there sitting in kelly's car for at least 2.5 hours ! finally kelly compromised with us and was driving us to hudson and on the way there someone almost hit us head on ! we got to hudson and kevin picked us up and brought us to our destination. WORST WEEKEND EVER ALMOST ! it was freezing cold and snowing in bad conditions it was poopy, i wish i would have stayed home.
